DENTURES

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and adjacent tissues. It is made of acrylic resin or a combination with various metals. These are set of artificial teeth used to replace all or few missing teeth that can successfully aid in chewing food, improve speech and aesthetic appeal. It also helps in keeping the facial area and mouth in correct alignment

At G.C. Dental Clinic And Implant Centre, we have Doctor specialized in providing custom made dentures to meet the patient’s unique needs. We offers dentures that feel and look natural.

Why To Replace Missing Teeth?

It is very important to replace missing teeth. The ill-effects of not doing so can be a shift in the remaining teeth, an inability to bite and chew properly, as well as a sagging facial appearance, which makes one appear older. The beauty of dentures today is that they are designed to be comfortable and functional. They are very similar in appearance to natural teeth and can improve a smile or facial appearance.

We at our clinic provide all types of Dentures according to the need and requirement of the patient.

What are the Types of Dentures ? :

  • Full or Complete dentures
  • Partial dentures
  • Implant-supported dentures( All On 4 Or All On 6 Hybrid Denture )
  • Removable partial dentures
  • Transitional Partials
1Complete Dentures:
Complete dentures are made when all of the natural teeth are missing or removed. These replace all the teeth in a jaw and fit directly on the gums and supporting bone. Conventional complete dentures are given after the gum tissues have healed, which can take a few weeks. Immediate complete dentures are made in advance and placed as soon as the teeth are removed. As the bones and gums shrink during the healing period after tooth extraction, they need frequent adjustments. Usually a complete denture takes a minimum of 5 – 7 Visits. These includes: - Complete acrylic dentures - Complete metal frame dentures
2Partial dentures:
Partial dentures are made when few teeth are missing. These fill in the spaces created by missing teeth, resting partly on the gums and partly on the remaining teeth. Removable partial dentures may be attached to your natural teeth with metal clasps or devices called precision attachments. They are a removable alternative to the fixed bridges. We also offer Flexible Partials which are strong yet flexible, light in weight and comfortable. They include: - Acrylic partial dentures - Metal frame partial dentures - Removable complete dentures

Implant supported Dentures:

These are similar to conventional complete dentures. The difference is that the complete dentures are attached to dental implants that are used to provide greater stabilisation during chewing.

With advances in dentistry, it is possible to integrate dental implants with dentures. Our dentists can provide you with a denture that is supported on implants that are placed in the jaw bone. These dentures are more effective and attractive as they stay in place and do not slip and yet are removable. The Denture is screwed with either 4 implants per jaw (All On 4) or 6 implants per jaw (All On 6). This Denture also known as Hybrid Denture.

We also provide special types of dentures which customized according to the patient’s need and conditions like:

• Flexible dentures

• Metal base dentures
